CONGRATULATIONS Tara Whitten - on your two gold medals last weekend at the World Track Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark!! Tara won both the Omnium and Points Race, becoming just the third Canadian to be crowned World Champion on the Track. Tara joins two other female track cyclists with close ties to Alberta who have excelled on the world stage: Tanya Dubnicoff won the Match Sprint at the 1993 World Championships, while Lori-Ann Muenzer of course was the 2004 Olympic Match Sprint Champion. Way to go Tara - all of Alberta is proud of you!
